All is Said and Done.

Words fail.

Love is an interesting thing. A beast of sorts, really. It can mask our malice and anger and even saved us from the Fall. But, what do you do when love overshadows reasoning? When you can’t find the right words to say… or when words come out wrong. You then go through the country song “Should’ve Done That” in your head. You know the one, I mean. “I should’ve done this and I should’ve done that. I should’ve been there and she’da never left. I shoulda been hanging on every word she ever had to say…” Yeah, now it’s stuck in your head. You’re welcome. Let’s get back on track and focus.

So often my words don’t come out right. They’re often misconstrued, and sometimes, they hurt the ones I love when in reality, they’re only meant to make them think and ponder. Sometimes, they’re even meant to edify prayer life.

I feel a little lost here… so I need your help. What does one do when they don’t know how to fix it? What do they say when there’s nothing good to say? Does a simple "I love you" work?

Today, I’m the one sending up a broken hallelujah and praying to God for the right words.
